Welcome to a new unit of study " PLANTS" Activities throughout this unit will prompt children to learn about plants through hands on exploration and provide opportunities to observe plants on their immediate environment. As children prepare to explore this unit , consider how different kinds of plants are apart of your daily children's daily lives. Additionally, use the opportunity of changing seasons to discuss and observe how plants grow and change over time.
In the first week, children consider the question " What are plants", and observe and identify the different parts of plants. In the second and third week, children have increased opportunities to observe plants in their environment and learn about different kinds of plants.
